Haval is Great Wall Motor's SUV brand and its volume comes from two models doing a great deal of work: the H6 and the smaller Jolion. The hybrid versions pair a petrol engine with a high-voltage battery and electric drive, which is where servicing gets misjudged — the car looks conventional, so it gets treated as conventional, and the hybrid system goes unchecked until it faults.
