Remanufactured Tesla batteries: a cheaper route
A remanufactured pack is rebuilt rather than newly made, and it can cost far less. Torque News has reported that a remanufactured Model 3 or Model Y Long Range pack sells for around US$8,000 (about AED 29,400), against roughly US$14,500 (about AED 53,300) for a new one, with labour extra in both cases. That is a reported figure, not a published price list, so prices and availability should be confirmed with the supplier.
Tesla uses these parts itself. Under its Middle East warranty, Tesla may repair or replace a defective battery with a new, reconditioned or remanufactured part, and it commits that a replacement pack will have at least the capacity of the original pack before the failure, taking the car's age and mileage into account (Tesla New Vehicle Limited Warranty, Middle East).
